“Dr. Tina Barrett is the Founder and Executive Director of Tamarack Grief Resource Center in Missoula, MT. She is responsible for program development, implementation and evaluations, fundraising, human resources, volunteer coordination and training.
She oversees all programs including support groups, grief camps, consultations and educational seminars locally, regionally and nationally.
Tina has grown a non-profit revenue stream from Zero to 500 thousand yearly and has built up a staff of 10.
In the last 5 years, Dr. Barrett has grown TGRC’s programing collaboration with local K-12 schools, providing critical psycho-education and response service to communities in Montana helping them cope with the highest suicide rates in the nation.
TGRC’s ongoing work with the military’s Tragedy Assistance program for Survivors (TAPS) is because of her hard work over the years where she remains a Senior Consultant.
She has contributed to the field of thanatology with book chapters, academic articles and other written materials.
She serves on the National Alliance for Grieving Children’s Board of Directors, among many other professional board positions.
